After a Near-Death Experience at age 5, I began a life-long search for meaning. With a lot of introspection and study, I became known as “Guru Stu” in my mid 20’s. “Gu” means ‘darkness of ignorance’ while “Ru” means ‘the divine light of knowledge’. This goal, to help others move from their darkness into their own light, helps drive me forward. It is my life purpose to help you find yours.
With a knack for simplification and a love of acronyms, I developed the program DARE to be your BEST over 20 years ago. It has helped me define and redefine my goals, and helped me (as well as countless others) to manifest a rich and authentic life.
Besides the guru side, I am also an accomplished artist. Using only a ballpoint pen and a piece of paper I create portraits of wild and domestic animals. This has lead to shows in Los Angeles, Laguna Beach, Beverly Hills and London, to name a few.
I also channel my art into a weekly cartoon series, called “Enlightoons” and I have enjoyed a successful career in graphic design and video production.
My biggest inspiration is my son, whom I fostered at 10, and adopted by 12. Most of my art reflects the relationshop of one parent and one child. Being his “papa” is one of the greatest roles in my journey.
